Mahtab Waseem, a M.S. graduate student in the BEDD lab, was selected to receive the 1st place award in the poster session of the Environmental Division at the 2020 virtual AICHE annual meeting.
On November 19, 2022, Mahtab introduced her “Investigation of Shewanella Oneidensis MR-1 As a Bioremediation Agent for Iodate”. The research presented by Mahtab was part of a study supported by an NSF DEB Award # 1832140 to Dr. Ymele-Leki. The virtual poster session was chaired by Dr. Nga Lee (Sally) Ng, an associate professor at Georgia Tech.
