Mahtab Waseem wins Third Place at 2017 ERN Conference in STEM

Research from the Biofilm Engineering and Drug Discovery (BEDD) group was featured at the Emerging Researchers National (ERN) in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Washington, DC. The ERN conference was held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park hotel on March 2-4, 2017.

  • Mahtab Waseem (a junior undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering) presented a poster titled: “Analyzing the Activity of Chemical Compounds Against Vibrio cholerae Biofilms.” She earned a third place award for her presentation.
  • Tariq Johnson (a junior undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering) introduced his project in a poster titled: “Analyzing the Antimicrobial Effects of Chemical Compounds on Biofilm Development.”
