Simone Stanley successfully kicks off the first week of ThermoHUE project

Twelve students from Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School and Turner Elementary School in Washington, DC, visited Howard University for the Week of July 11, 2016, to participate in a BEDD-sponsored project under the supervision of Simone Stanley (rising Senior Chemical Engineering student).
The ThermoHUE summer project led by Simone aims to introduce high schools students to STEM fields and principles. The project relies on an experiment-based learning education app and hands-on laboratory activities, developed by a multidisciplinary team of college students in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Howard University.
