Research from the Biofilm Engineering and Drug Discovery (BEDD) group was featured at the 2015 Annual Student Conference (November 6-9) and the 2015 AIChE Annual Meeting (November 8-13) in Salt Lake City, UT.
- Abiye Mekonnen (a graduate student in Chemical Engineering) presented a poster titled: “Impacts of Varying Hydrodynamics Conditions and Mass Transfer on Staphylococcus aureus Biofilms and Their Resistance to Antimicrobial Agents” at the Engineering Fundamentals in Life Science Poster session.
- Earlier in the conference, Mahtab Waseem (a sophomore student in Chemical Engineering) won a prize for presenting a poster in the Food, Pharmaceutial, and Biotechnology session of the Student Poster Competition (see related post below).
